Hey everyone. IF YOU DONT HAVE ONE OF THESE CHARGERS, THAN YOU ARE MISSIN OUT.!!!! 1st gear is useless, spins all thw way through 2nd, and barks hard into 3rd. If you notice in the pics, Tristen, I mounted the upper radiator hose under the charger, I was havin clearance issues.
Anyway I will answer questions later gotta go be back soon.

Soooooo, let's hear the verdict. Power, sound, etc. Give us the scoop.

Install looks good -- nice and stock, for the most part -- like it was SUPPOSED to be in there from the factory.

Power wise on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 10, it pulls so strong, not much for low end until about 2500rpm's. As for the sound, it's LOUD, but not inside the truck, It is very respectable in the cab, If you are talkin to someone while driving it isnt, noticable. What a difference. I noticed a slight bit of pinging in 5 gear goin about45 or so and hittin the gas, If I down shift into 4th its fine at that speed. I wasnt doin that when I first installed it, but the temp also dropped 15degrees so that might have played a factor.
Definatley worth the money for sure. All my buddies could not believe how fast the truck is now. I Love possi!!!!!!! You should have seen the people starin at the truck when I was test drivin it. Definatly an awsome product. Any other question's????

So, I'm guessing that it's adequate?

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Was the install simple enough?

What about the whining noise? I don't like hearing a charger spin up, but if it's quiet in the cab I might let it slide. How about seeing if Al can make a quiet drive system.

You can definitely hear it outside. Inside the cab, it isn't all that loud.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the it can be made quieter -- but that would be for Al to say.

The instal was O.K., and that being said I am a mechanic for a living. Not that it was tough, just some parts didnt exactly fit like they should have, and some brackets had to be bent for the right clearance, Ohh and like I said before, my upper radiator hose was kinda screwy, so I rerouted it under the super charger instead of on top, kinda gives a much cleaner look.
But overal the install was simple and staight foward.
As for the whine noise, You'll love it TRUST ME.
Nick

P.s. the install took about 2 1/2 hours including swaping out the plugs, Had to pull the damn steering shaft to get the middle plug in.

Ohh yeah supercharhged, my reciept say its a 7 psi kit??

does the windshield washer fluid reservoir get in the way? i was thinking of shaving the nozzles and getting rid of them completely, so it would no longer be needed...could free up some real estate. your filter looks like its resting on top of it...??

Yeah its up against it but should be ok. I wouldnt get rid of you washer bottle if you shave the squirters, if you ever plan on runnin alot a boost, you can use the resivour for methanol injection.

I don't know about that one. Did you get a boost gauge? If so, what does it read at max rpm (WOT)?

Either that or Al is playing a prank on ME. . . I've been bugging him about a 7 psi pulley lately. . . Don't know. . .

But, anything beyond 6 psi, and you need some sort of fuel system augmentation -- SDS or FMU -- so I don't think it is a 7psi kit.

Hey, at least you GOT a receipt! No big deal, though. . . I don't plan on returning it, and I THINK Al will remember me if there is a warranty problem.

anything will make a huge difference in a 2.2...
would you recomend getting headers first or second?

Either or. . . you'll see a gain regardless. It's whatever your wallet says you can get first.

From a different perspective, I would say to get the headers FIRST. With a naturally-aspirated engine, you'll notice a bit of a difference. After that, go for the blower -- then you'll notice an even bigger difference. If you do the blower first, then when you do actually install headers, the gain won't be noticeable at all. Why? Because if you have 140 rwhp and add 5-10, it's easier to notice than if you have 200 rwhp and add 5-10. The more power you put to the tires, the more you need to add to actually notice it on anything other than a dyno. So, from a purely "customer satisfaction" point of view, go with the headers. Strangely enough, the headers provide less power but are a MUCH bigger pain in the ass to install than the blower. Go figure -- but either way, do both. With the blower, you'll already have an intake and a programmer, so you'll save that much extra for other mods.

Going from 80 rwhp to around 120 rwhp (or so, I'm not certain on the exact figures) will make a HUGE difference. Think about this: going from 140 rwhp (on a 4.3L) to 200 rwhp is enough to make most people say "WOW!" Well, the less hp you make initially/stock, the more impressed you'll be. Going from 140 to 200 isn't as noticeable as going from 80 to 120 (even though the raw power gain is 20 or so hp less). It'll feel almost like you've done an engine swap.

So how much rwhp are you getting with this kit? I might be changing my ways a bit and leaning towards a supercharger.

The kit is $2495 + shipping. I dont know how much I gained, havent had it at the dyno.

According to an old dyno sheet that Al emailed me, the kit on a 100% stock truck put down 201 rwhp (stock was 136) -- about a 65 rwhp gain. Now, from what I've heard (no substantiation as of yet), Al has re-work and tweaked the kit from the time that the dyno was done, so it is producing a bit more than that. I would hazard to say around 65-70, maybe 75 rwhp. But, I swear, I had my Powerdyne with the 2.7" pulley (supposedly 9 psi), and all I have done is swap blowers -- and the Jammer FEELS like it pulls harder. I've got a local shop finishing my suspension work, but once I get it back I'm planning on scheduling a dyno run or two -- just for S&Gs. I don't really give a hoot about numbers on paper -- it's actual performance that is more my concern. It feels like it pulls harder than the Powerdyne, it burns the tires longer than the Dyne did, it accelerates MUCH smoother than the Powerdyne did. Overall, and I'll say it again, it FEELS more powerfull than the Powerdyne did.

What I'm thinking of doing is making a "baseline run" without the S/C's cog belt in place (so it won't be blown), and then making a run with it -- to see what the actual gain (for MY truck, that is) happens to be.

It's one of the less expensive S/Cs. Powerdyne is around $2400 without programmer and uses the stock intake. Vortech is around $3500 without programmer and uses the stock intake (but does include a Crane ignition). MP is around $4200 and doesn't include any programmer (a reflash is extra $$), and takes a while to get.

So, by and large, the Wynjammer is a better deal than any of the others -- all things considered. Plus, if you have a FULL array of bolt-ons, you've probably spent around $2500 -- and only gained 20 rwhp at most. The Jammer is $2400 and gains you about 65-70 rwhp. Looking at the numbers, the Jammer is the more economical way to go!

I would really like to no how much RWHP the TBI kit makes.I don't plan on staying at the boost the kit comes as but would like a base line idea of what im starting at.I thought about going to a lower compression ratio with my CPI project block I have but the pistons are forged so they will take the abuse.I need to ask AL what he recommends and what power he thinks the kit will put out.
