View Full Version : Best looking tips for a dual setup?
I like Camaro tips, but I figured id ask for other opinions. Im ordering from a certain site since their prices are cheap and I have a 15% off coupon.
This is my favorite.

I like 1 or 3.
1 would look best centered with a 1-2" space between.
3 might be a PITA because it's slash cut.

Ive seen some Camaro tips painted in black. But the tips were welded in the muffler...they werent seperate. Id love to see the look of them on one of these trucks. I wonder if they used powdercoat and how long it would last. Ill try to find the pic of it.
Still cant find the tips. But I did find a place that will make coat them with black onyx finish. http://www.stainlessworks.net/cart/images/BLK%20ONYX%20WEBSITE.JPG
Hmm...what to do.

I have the first ones installed on my 2nd gen. There on both sides of the rollpan, right after it slopes down in the middle. I'd get you pics but my digtal camara craped out on me.

Oh man...I wanna see. Is your truck a fleetside or stepside? Ive only seen those tips on a stepside.

It's a stepside.
I think I just might make the exhaust hidden something like this, except the muffler is located in the stock location on a S10. This is a Blazer, but you get the idea. I dont think anything will look good on a fleetside. Stepsides or even an Xtreme look better with exhaust tips sticking out, IMO.

I would just flip the exhaust manifolds over and run them out the hood before I ran any of those exhaust tips.

That would actually be kinda neat.

3rd one looks slightly angled if you look at the inside of it. I think they are and are a left-right seperate.
I scored a set of ss Hooker dual round outlets a few months ago. IDK what or if I will use them.
They come with the Hooker Aerochamber Camaro cat-back setup and look like this : http://www.holley.com/22304HKR.asp

Found this on the other forum. I'd swich to a rollpan first.
Thanks for finding that pic. I have a roll pan on mine. I wish the truck in that pic had one too. Im thinking those tips would look a little too sporty for the fleetside, but who knows. I know they look good on stepside and look even better centered in the middle. Im just gonna do hidden turn downs tho.

Dump after the muffler. Hide em :)

Mine are now hidden, but not right after the muffler. I think ill fail inspection if the exhaust isnt behind the rear wheels or axle.....something like that.

do a super sport setup with the square ones, one on each side right before the rear tire, imo that would look pretty decent

I think ill fail inspection if the exhaust isnt behind the rear wheels or axle.....something like that. The last time I was inspected in NJ (05) they had to exit behind the passenger compartment and from under the body. Side exit in front of the real wheels is fine. Makes your wheels get dirty faster just from the condensation the exhaust blows in the morning and worse if you truck runs like poo...lol
Ive got tips from an 05 GTO on my ford. Looks good

Just got a dual out squarish-round rolled end tip on the truck for now.
I had thought about doing those Corvette 'speedway' tips out the center just turned upside-down. After I get stepshavers on IDK what Im gonna do
