This winter im planning to bag 1/2 of my truck. anyone have any experience with Airride Tech's AiroverLeaf kit?? I really dont want to spend alot of money for a proper 3 or 4 link. Also...what sort of compressor and tank size will i need?? I plan on running 3/8th's everything
keep in mine that i will want a good enough compressor and tank size to air up the front of my truck one day.
airride tech is a real dependable air bag system, but if your wanting to go lo0wer than what you are right now the airover leaf ssytem isn't going to work for you. That more for people that want the aggresive stance without sacrifceing towing capibiltys on the fullsize you can almost layframe with it because it mounts outside the framerails, but on a smaller truck like the s-series you have to mount it between the frame and leaf. it'll give you about 6-8" but not enough to lay frame. It will however get rid of those blocks you have and greatly improve your ride quality.
air ride does have the shockwave air shocks. it take little modification to the front and the for the rear, with a coilover configurarion and a 4 link you can lay frame with 20". And their as fast as moderate bags requireing less air to run them.

I could just run a 4" block with 2.5" or 3" notch and lay it out cant I?? With a mono leaf of course (all i haul is my golf clubs and pocket bike so load capacity doesnt matter to me) I swear ive seen this done someware and it looked like it all worked really well together..?
your really tlking to the wrong guy for budget beater bags. If i don't have the money to do it right i don't. And when it comes to supension I'm more into performance applications not show. ask layitlow. I thinck he'll have some pics of a truck that's setup right for a bagged everyday driver.
I will say that you definatly shouldn't run blocks with a monoleaf and a static or active drop because the leaf will loose temper very quick and break.
here's the thing go to airrides site and look at the fully compresed size of the unit and how it mounts. It's designed to use without notch. You can't use a mono leaf because that most you'll find for an s-10 is 3" so have to you use the top leaf out of your stock leafpack.

monoleafs and bags will not last very long. especially if you plan on hitting ur switches alot. thats alot of stress youre putting on a single leaf changing the height of the suspension. air over leaf is intended to be used as bvr stated for, stop sagging rearends when hauling loads.

Well i wouldnt be trying to hop it around...i just want to drag the **** out of something
what about bi-leafing it...keeping the overload in there?

air ride tech has a universal triangular 4 link kit that you weld on but its only $319. I dont know to much about 4 links or which is the best kind but thats not to bad a price.
for stability and highspeed drivabilty the parelle 4 bar is the best.
They've come allong way with the trianglated 4 bars, but I still don't trust them for everyday drivabilty.
do not use a reverse 4 link >>>>>>>> . the end

i'm using a custom 6 link, indeed do not use reverse links. but as for 4 links on everyday drivers you will be fine. granted bags over leafs will work but there are not intended to be constantly aired up and down. that stress will crack the leaves eventually. save up some dough and do it the right way
