I got a 2000 s10 reg cab short bed and i did a 3/3 drop with ground force springs and blocks and beltech shocks i have vette rims with 2.5 spacers and 3 in the back. going about 70 it feels like something is shaking or something any ideas what it could be or is it just like that cause the setup? anything would be appreciated

Do the rims have those stick on weights on the inside of them to balance them? Maybe one flew off.

no thats why i dont have them there pieces of **** and never have got them to stay on a set long enough. I got the set from my grandpa took them off his vette and they were balanced then so maybe i need to go redo them but didnt think that would be something

tires been replaced on the rim since you yanked them?

the shaking is most likely from drive shaft alignment or the rear end is sitting on the bump stops.

Thats the first thing I thought, "Pinion angle!" But pinion angle being off usually is noticed under hard acceleration or when there is weight in the back. Right?

Mine would shake the seats driving down the freeway until I shimmed the transmission up more.

All the time or just certain speeds? You're drop alot more than I dropped my Blazer. Mine wasn't that bad. It just vibrated when the ass end squatted down when I stomped on it.

Just at about 60-70.

Well in case he hasn't did anything for his pinion alignment. Here's a link to a kit.

I swear, JTR needs to give me some stuff free for as many times as I've advertised for them.

I think I sold 2 radiators for them last month.

Are your blocks angled?
It's not on the bump stops with a 3" drop. Mine was a 6" and was a 1/2" away.
How long since the tires/ wheels were balanced?

Ya 3in drop is along way from the bump stops. Sounds like a tire balancing problem. Maybe a bent pitman, or idler arm.

Really? Mine with just drop rear leafs (Belltech) was about 1/4" off the rear bump stops.

Thanks for all the help but the tires havent been off the rims or anything and i do have angled blocks. and it didnt do this before i lowered it so i guess its prolly the driveshaft alignment is the only thing i think it might be. But again the roads here in texas arnt the best either

Did you pull the drive shaft off when you lowered it? Try flipping the rear u-joint 180.

When i had a 3/3, shocks and blocks, drop,, mine didnt vibrate,, but mine is an extended cab,, any chance that ur driveshaft got shoved into ur tranny?

i dont think it did but idk just sick of spending money cause i have none right now so i dont know where to start with it for sure

The yoke/drive shaft was balanced as 1 piece. If you flip the yoke around, it will be out of balance.

Do you have the blocks angled down towards the front? Seen that a couple times.

I didnt realize you live about 30 minutes from me? Your right the roads here suck, especially here where all the oilfield trucks are. Is it vibration, or is the steering wheel moving back and forth?

could be a few things in that matter. does the wheel just vibrate or shimmy back and forth?
