View Full Version : Internals
So I was just wondering about the HP rating for my rotating assembly. I have forged pistons, idk what number, Forged 5140 steel Connecting rods and a cast steel crank. The connecting rods are I guess rated to 500, but what happens if I go over that? I had hypereutectic pistons but then learned they are for basically stock rebuilds so I got forged speedpro pistons cuz at the time I was thinking about spraying, but now I moved on to turbo lol. Will my internals be on for a turbo?

I wouldn't use a cast crank for a induction or high hp. Pretty much go forged

and as for ratings contact the manufacter of your parts and ask them. If they wouldn't know then I wouldn't put their crap in my motor.
They are Eagle products. And in the description of the rotating assembly I have on summit it says for engines up to 500hp and that’s with the hypereutectic pistons, I went to forged pistons now.
