View Full Version : Wanted Stock Radio 89 S10
I want a stock radio to put back in the dash of my 89. I'm not into all this fancy stuff, I just listen to the radio and occasionally my Ipod through the tape deck. I will need the plugs also if you have those. Cheap is good since the dealership I worked at got shut down, 15 years down the swirlly hole.
Thanks, Terry

I think thats the style. At the moment I just have a hole in the dash with all the wires cut out.

The harness (plugs) are Metra 71-1677-1 or equiv. Called Reverse Harness.
The radio on most GMs stop around 87 but on a few models like the s10 carried over some years. The difference is in the mounts. They are removable and specific for the s-series. You can use say a f-body deck of the same style but need the s-series mounts to swap to it.
If u want to use the i-pod, there is no direct connect. The best u can do is a FM Modulated part. The 'wireless' one suck! iSimple from AAMP of America is hands down the best FM MOdulated iPod integration. Its a direct wire FM Mod that also charges even the newer 5volt iPods. IS77 I think id the part number. About $100 retail. fyi

Yeah, I don't have the mounts (because I'm still using them) but the head units I have fit & one has the plugs (they fit both units).
