I just went out for a ride today and I noticed i could smell gas real strong but i didn't think much of it because I know I have an o ring that is leaking but this smell was stronger than normal. so after about 2 hours of driving I get home and just check it out. ends up theres a small pin hole in one of the lines which is spraying a pretty good size mist of gas all over the top of the tank (it doesnt take much of a hole because these trucks run at like 54lb of fuel pressure). I'm lucky I didnt have any kind of a spark under there boom .
whats my best way to fix this I'm thinkin just make a whole new piece that goes from the fuel pump connection right to the fuel filter. I would just put in a little piece with compression fittings but theres already one on that line in a different spot. I also think you can get a factory piece right from gm but i'm not sure. so whats my best way to fix it?
