does anyone have sirius sattelite radio? i'm thinking about getting it because theres only like one radio station around here. but I got to listen to it the other day and it kept cutting out and sometimes it would stay out for over a half hour and it would be saying aquiring signal. I dont konw if it just happens around where i live or maybe the guy had it hooked up wrong but i dont want to buy it and have it work like sh*t. I was just wondering how everyone else liked it?

I've had Sirius for 1.5 years and love it! I have the Kenwood unit that can be used in the car or the house. I hate commercials and s-radio has done away with those. There is a ton of musicical variety, whatever you want to hear is available. I haven't had any trouble with signal dropout except when stopped under an overpass. (There's a five-second delay so that you don't loose the signal if you keep moving under the overpass.) Maybe your problem is where the antenna is pointed. I have a friend that does have signal drop out when driving down a street by his house that as a tall tree line on the south side of the street.

A guy I work with has XM. He brings his reciever in to work and plays it thru our little stereo. You want to listen to about any kind of music, you've got it.

Another option for Sirius subscribers is listening on-line. I can listen to all of the same music streams at work all day via the internet for no additional charge.

You just need a high-speed internet connection (I think, maybe a dial-up will work). When you subscribe, you will get a password that will allow you to login to the Sirius site. All of the same great stuff available on the radio is available on line.
