doing the center console conversion soon...

i already got a center console in my new truck but i want to put a floor shifter console in. i know it will all bolt up with no problem but i just have a simple ???. right now when i put my truck in gear with the column shifter my door locks lock and i like that. if i put a floor shifter in will they still do that? are they controlled off of a switch on the column or the gear selector on the trans?

do you mean tan as in beige are "tan" as in pewter/light gray?

umm, tan is its own color, it is a light brown. It has no pewter or light grey in it
