i was wondering if anyone has found a good heavy upper ball joint for cheap. i found some at autozone for $16 each but im afraid they arent going to hold up, especially for what im doing with the truck, i have already bent both of ym upper ball joints and i was looking for a good ball joint with a reasonable price.
An upper balljoint for 16 bucks? Steer well clear of that. Try Moogs problemsolver line

Take a look at http://www.powerperformancemotorsports.com/main.sc
Also do some searching for powerperformance ball joints on this and the other s-series forums for reviews. Popular opinion says they're the best. They're prefered by the bagged and off roading guys.

where do you get the moog problem solvers? and about how much do they run?
the truck is being used in rough truck racing and being jumped, if it gets broken to bad its gettign scraped so i dont want to put to much money into it, but i dont want to put something in that will break the first time out either, i have moog ball joints in my blazer but it just goes offroad i thought maybe somebody knew of a pretty decent ball joint at a pretty reasonable price because they could be used for 5 minutes and then get scraped, it just depends how the rest of the truck holds up
and the power performance joints cost more than i have in the whole truck lol i dont want something that good(well i do but i cant afford them)

Hey Dbcustoms.
Myself Millermccullum and I read your entire posting. Welcome to the forum Dbcustoms. You should have to check the warranty status before purchasing Upper ball joints for truck. Price and quality have the same relationship so you have to compromise on it. Anyways Thanks. Stay Connected.

No good since they started manufacturing off shore. Less then 10,000 on a set with synthetic grease (Green Grease).

I would say for you to save up for the good stuff. But if you can't go to napa. They have some ok ones. In the long run you will pay more for the cheep stuff. It's better to save and do it one time.

Man unless you have let it get to the point its about to fall apart I would save up. Nothing beats PP and they will outlast any cheaper one you put in there. They pay for them self in longevity.
