So I thought i'd just "superman" the pitman arm off the tierod like I have done with every other balljoint i've ever messed with. WHAT THE HECK THOUGH! Whats holding this thing onto the tierod so well? I'm off tomarrow to get some special tools, but jeez, shouldn't this thing just come off. I hammered on it for almost 3 hours, i used wedges, i even sharpened a 1" craftsman wrench into a makeshift pickle. No luck. Its stuck in that tierod like its welded there.
(BTW, I haven't boogered up the threads on the bolt / nut. I didn't hammer there. Duh)
Why won't it just give up? When I go get the tools, will it just come off? I ALWAYS WIN. Why didn't I?
