Air filter

I have a 91 S-10 with the 4.3 litre fuel injected V-6. Does anybody know where I can get a performance air filter with a chrome top on it? I dont know if it is possible because It has an air tube going to the radiotor or something I think(I havent looked at it in a while). Oh, and it isnt the Vortec motor either. It is the old throttle body.

summit would be one source. The tube going to the exaust is to bring hot air to your TBI unit. You can just remove it and put a vacume cap on the throttle body where the tube goes from the little round part on the air cleaner housing. The open element filter is one of the best flowing options for TBI

Like T Man says. It's a good write up and you can get it all at the local parts store. I've been using that setup for a couple of years and really like it.

K&N sells an FIPK kit for the 91. I know, i've got it. Picked it up for around $120. Comes with crome top/bottom with K&N punched on top, comes with filter and recharge kit for filter. One thing different between K&N's stuff Vs the others is that the bottom pan is curved for optimal air speed and smoothness coming into the bores.
