FYI your going to hate hp media smart

it came on my laptop .... so many problems... I disabled it, tried updating, error, uninstalled it, still having problems with the setting the it changed on the laptop

I have problems with mine also figured I would call hp and see wtf was up with it. I refused to pay best buy 60 bucks to fix it for me.

whats wrong with it? what's it doing ....or not doing? Is it Media Smart that is giving you problems?

I spent 6 hours on the phone with HP before I told them I would do my own tests 5 mins later I found out the hard drive was shot

would they send me a new hard drive.... NO I had to send it in. now its all scratched up I think the tech crew wears steel mesh gloves

I fixed mine with this update that windows just found today after a week of looking for it, it was my tv tuner.

yeah it said that was my problem too...I dont have a tv tuner on mine but it came with the software just in case it ended up being a conflict with UAC and DEP

SOON as my warranty is up I putting Ubuntu on it....BYE BYE VISTA
