It is not legal to exceed the speed limit to pass... If I was a cop and I seen you going that fast I would of gave a ticket too.
They have things on the side of the road that say speed limit... That means limit??? You can go slower but not faster.
It took me a very long time to learn that and a lot of money...

Hey... I have done something like that a few times in the past month.

Someone doing 35 in a 45. One lane.
Good stretch of road, I've passed people to get in front of them at around 75. Then as soon as I get back in the correct lane, I drop it back down to 50.
Around here, cops tend to leave you alone if you are doing only 5 over or less. after that is a crap shoot.

But as far as passing goes... I dont like being in the wrong lane for too long... I also would like to get to work on time and keep my schedule...

I promise prolly worse. I bought my first truck when I was 12 and he taught me how to slide it around on a gravel road. I can remember growing up standing on the side of the road while he was street racing his 69 chevelle.

I still drive fast.... But I'm old enough to know when to do it. Like not in a 35 mph limit.... You can't drive to slow in a 35... Hell thats walkin speed..

My first ticket was a 60 in a 55 but he pulled me over because he clocked me 70 and accelerating. $105 and 3 points, got it moved to 75 in a 70 for $10 more and 0 points. Then I got pulled over for doing 55 in a 45(didn't see any signs so i assumed it was 55), he ended up giving me a warning for the speeding and for how dark my windows were. My second and most recent ticket was a "disregard flashing red" on my way home like a week before christmas at 2am, didn't see the light and the cop still gave a ticket. knock on wood. I have not has one since i was 17. but it was a doozy. I was clocked doing 123 mph in a 55 mph zone..On 1-70 in Belridge Mo. Sob . there was no one on the road but him and I.. never done that again..

Well... if you have almost illegal tinted windows, some big chrome wheels, and your Bass thumpin' with your head lights off at night on a friday or Saturday night...
then yeah... I'd pull you over too...

I knew someone who had all the above, and couldnt figure out why he was pulled over. He was doing the speed limit, was sober... just looked suspicious as hell...

I tend to drive the speed limit, keep my radio at a decent level, only got factory tint, and factory aluminum rims. I very rarely ever get pulled over unless I'm speeding.

I drive fast on the highway, I know I shouldnt but it gives me about 5 min. more sleep in the morning.
