i have a 1998 S-10 with the 2.2 liter 4 cyl, shes got 268K miles on her and every few days i lose clutch pressure. the clutch wont engage untill all the way to the floor and the master cylinder is about half empty. i refill and pump the clutch a few times and shes back to normal for a few days then the same stuff happens. i have taken the master cylinder out and inspected it for leaks but its okay.. any idea would be appreciated.
John

nope not yet, that was my next guess. im gonna buy a clutch kit and install it soon so i guess ill just get the slave cylinder to. ive had something like this happen on my dads nova and replaced the slave cylinder and everything was better.
Thanx
those seals will start to leak after a while and bleed down on you. i'm suprised it lasted this long.

well i bled the clutch today and its acting alright. the leak seems like its coming form the little white o ring on the quick disconnect that goes to the slave cylinder. im just gonna watch the fluid level and keep drivin her untill i save the money to buy a clutch. maybe even a small block. shes a strong engine for 268K miles on her. still burns the tires a little bit when you hit down on the loud pedal.. thanks guys for your help
