View Full Version : CFM Tech working on new Intake manifold
"The big project being undertaken here at CFM Technologies - a redesigned intake manifold. The stock Vortec CPI manifold sacrifices major hp at 4000rpm+ for just a little torque boost at lower rpm's. This project is well underway but still with a lot of obstacles to overcome. We will not "force" this project into completion - only when it becomes a true bolt on that will substantially increase horsepower with no or extremely little modifications to be performed by the consumer will we make this product available to the public. Keep posted! "

In all actuality, it's been in the works for 3 years now -- still no new development. Even with the AFI taking as long as it has (it's nearing completion some time), it'll be out and ready way before the CFM-Tech manifold -- or so we can hope!

Yeah thats been there forever and no new info. Still no stats on ether manifold, so I'm looking at other options. What about puting on one of RPM's Syclone manifolds that have been modified to fit Vortec heads. Only thing I can't figure out with that option is the different senors and ECU. Any help would be nice.

Is there any reason you used that elbow rather than just making an adapter to mount the throttle body vertical the way they did on a stock intake?

I think that I would have put the 90 towards the Front. keep the throttle cable closer to the stock location. Just my opinion.
