clutch adjustment?

Is there any way to adjust where the clutch pedal grabs? It is grabbing a bit too high for my liking, I prefer it to grab like immediatley off the floor. I have asked shops, and they all say that there is no way to adjust it, but I want a second opinion.

Is that just on GM hydro clutch? Cuz my buddy has an adjustable cable on his '91 mustang and it has a hydro clutch and a tremec 3550

If it has a cable it's not hydro.
