alright, I heard just about every coment on having a mechanical fan at the car shows and I'm just about sick of it! the only reason I have the mechanical fan is at IDLE on 110 degree days it gets hot with two universal electric fans. I have a 2 core 1" tube all aluminum camero radiator. I had one 12" and one 14" puller as well as the same on the condenser for when the a/c kicks on. it run's 220 at idle on 110 degree days with 60 percent humidity, the sender is in the intake manifold cause the headers stopped me from installing it in the head. people have told me that the 210/220 flex-o-lite is a good choice but the diametions are not covering the complete radiator. I have looked at the LT1 powered camero dual fan setup but the fans are too big, but the dodge intreped fan looks to be the correct size with alittle modding. does anyone have info on or used these fan's such as acturate diametions, and wiring for the two speed setup on the intreped? the radiators diametions are 26.5 wide 18.5 tall and I have 3.5ish from the water pump nose to the rad. any info would be GREATLY appreciated! as for the power wise I have a 140 amp alternator....the only other problem is in winter it runs toooo cool with the mechanical fan on.

Flex-a-lite 210 will be fine & cover the complete rad... it's ok to have about 1-1.5" not covered by the fan & still have it cool well enough.

I can't get a flex-o-lite for 40 bucks tho! that why I would like to use a intrepid one.

I like the intrepid fans. I have them wired with on on low and one on high. They fit like they were made for an s10. They cover the whole radiator ...
With it 97 outside with the ac on it never go over 200.

how big is the late model factory radiator? what I mean is I have the 73-81 camero radiator what is bigger than the 82-93 factory radiator.... not that it matters since it fits my radiator.

I have the taurus fan on mine and its just wired on low. It pretty much covers the whole radiator and seems to cool just fine.

My father-in-law put a taurus fan on his f-150 a few weeks ago and thing pulls some friggin air! the intrepid fans give you a little more clearance for your V8 though dave. The fans are on either side of the rad, giving you a few extra inches for your water pump pulley to protrude out.

The intrepid fans have been proven to cool full race typhoons, syclones, and even v8 s-10s. Its where I stole the idea from just do a search on v8s10.org or syty.net
