questions about 383 stroker

I have a completely stock block with stock heads and cam. If I put a 383 crank(3.75 stroke) in it will it hit anything? also how big of a cam could I put in it without trouble. I want it to have top end power and a rough Idle.

you will need to do some clearencing on the oil pan rail to clear the rod bolts and the bottom of the cylinders to clear the rods. This can be done with no problem with a die grinder. Just install the crnak rods and pistions with out rings. Just check and recheck all the clearences then wash the block very well after you are done grinding at the block
