Yesterday...after a month of no internet i got it back.....i hate being poor
gofurslf people with money...

But anyways i did a little upgrade on my phone...
Went from the CRAPPY Windows mobile 6 / T-mobile
to Windows Mobile 6.1 Kavana Inky Linky (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=374890) With eT9 to fix the key mapping and a few personal fav. apps

It was so damn easy...installed active sync 6.5 on my Windows PC and ran the RUU Excalibur Application and about 10-12 min later i had an HTC logo on my screen So far no problems.
got my $5.99 proxy and T-mobile network all working, Wi-Fi setup, etc
Pretty cool the final version of kavana is a 1-click process...no unlock or anything

And Tada:

(Background set the same for my PC's)
Loads of preloaded apps like

Omap clock, Light controller, Free Ram, Task manager, Flash lite, Note pad, Reg. editeor, Resco, And all the WM Office (with Create)
AND 16M+ of free Ram with no programs...
T-mobile was a Mem hog leaving me 6-13m

Oh, come on guys.

I may not be the brightest bulb but atleast i understand Flashing ROM's
Came deal with other small devices.
Flash the ROM, and that becomes the new Root files...

Just like installing Windows Vista on an EX-XP system.

I have the PPC6700 and I've been waiting for a cooked ROM version that I like. Windows 6.1 is suppose to be much smoother and lots less of a memory hog.

Got to be careful flashing your ROM.. could make a very expensive brick. LOL

Thats why you wait till someone has the application like Kavana made.
Lol click RUU_Excalibur_WM61.
Its a GUI'ed app+step by step instructions.
Starts in Command prompt to unlock then switches back to the App.
;)

But Yes WM6.1 is much smoother...only problems ive had are:
Celle Task keeps getting errors
IE kept crashing from a conflict with...i think Fim:confused: but i fixed that

I use Opera on mine anyway. Is IE embedded too?

I stopped looking when I was seeing all the issues. I need my phone too much to test on it. So the ROM has to be completely stable. So maybe time to research again.

Its still a Windows mobile OS just cooked up without Microsoft backing it.
So yes IE is embedded...you cant get rid of it..lol

If you have an HTC phone go to XDA-Developers they have all phones and everyone has cooked up a ROM for them:shake_125

Kavana 6.1 final was more stable then the T-mobile 6.0 that my phone was shipped with.

EDIT:
This is 3VO's 6.5 Rom
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v432/digifox1165/th_ss000-3.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v432/digifox1165/ss000-3.jpg)
Very nice, stable and easy to use...only Bad ive found is it really hogs the tiny 64MB RAM my phone has

But now im using Windows mobile 6.5 3VO
Which has Opera Mini embedded in the ROM.
Along with Titanium Weather.

Most the guys on XDA know what they are doing:D

Also. if you flash and dont like it you can ALWAYS get the OFFICIAL shipped ROM.
and if you brick it there are LOADS of unbricking threads..
