how wold one go aobut changing the grille on an 03 s10? is it just held in by clips so all you do is pull gently?
thanx!!!
charlie
Open the hood, you will see some tabs, pull those tabs 1st (at the top of the grille) There will be 4 of them. Then firmly pull the grille towards you.

open the hood ,remove the headlamps first by pullin the 4 tabs (2 on each side) that are along the top of the core support . unplug all the lamps and set aside . grab the grille and gently pull DO NOT TUG hard on it or it will crack and/or break . the noma grille has about 8 clips holding it in while the s-10 has about 12-14 clips .
have fun with it

so the extreme grill would fit on my 00 Blazer then.....hmmm....i need a new one as a bird had decided to blast a hole in the mesh and lodge its self on the radiator bars..was picking feathers out for a week after that one with a nice gapping hole in the mesh!
Haha dude that sucks with the bird. I sped up tying to hit one the other day cuz they are so stupid and wait till literally the last second to fly away.

I don't know if they changed them in later years, but on my '98 there are exactly 11 clips holding the grille on. If you feel under/behind the center bar you will feel two handholds. Grab there and pull firmly, but not with too much force. The whole grille will start to pull out. Feel for where each clip is and, keeping a grip to steady the grille, pull where those clips are located. Disconnect the turn signals (and fog lamps, if you have them) and you're done. New grille goes on the same way -- start at the center and work your way out.
I've done it a few times (to swap grilles, to swap lenses and to install my body mounts) -- it's easy.
