Ok, I know that not much has changed from 96 to 99 model years, but what about 2002+?! I was looking for EGR and Air Pump connections. No Air pump and no EGR. Did GM do away with Blazer EGR in '02? I know that the LS1 engines lost there's in '02. The main reason is that if that's the case....96 to 99 model superchargers (like vortech) will work on my application without special headers to clear the brackets for the S/C head mount as in the '02 and '03 Powerdyne unit. The only problem would be ECM programming. My unit is Delphi and is appearently used in the full size trucks with the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0L LS1 type engines after cross referencing the part #'s from GM's parts website. I'll probably go with wynjammer's S/C because I've heard bad rumors about Powerdyne and Vortech is to loud and a tad to pricey. What to retain the sleeper sound and look if possible:) Any help would be appreiciated,
Chris

99-01 they had air injection of alot of S10 due to territory emissions laws. All the northeast quad had it, Texas and Cali did, maybe a few more. SO yes without it, there is nothing to interfere with the install. Programming is done to Al says 05, which myself believe 04 no problem 05 is still touchy!! In 01 they went to the 2 connector comps which the same comp is used on most all GM cars and trucks, but tuned per each application, so that wont matter. The code readers look for base program and match that to whats saved per that ECM program code and upload accordingly!

Also...How long did it take for the install and should I spring for larger injectors?
Thanks Again

Programming makes up for fuel addage, but qnything more than 6PSI will require some type of fuel adding device since now the factory injectors will be maxed!

I need a list of parts from your experiance that I would need to make this as painless and trouble free as possible (Sensors, Ign., Exhaust mods, Etc.) Also, would the K&N Top work with the S/C or will it blow off? (Kinda like the radiused top of the Gen 2...or will it even make a difference in flow characteristics from the stock chimney?) I'm thinking that a new Perf. Mass-Air sensor might be in order. An should I change plugs to gapable style or will the +2's still cut it. I know this is alot of Questions...but never S/C'ed anything with a computer (ODB I or II)....so kinda learn'in here:)
Thanks for the quick responses,
Chris

No sensors
Cat Back recommended, Headers even better, but must be coated.
K&N will blow off, use the factory bonnet which wont and built for the kit
MAF aftermarket will make it run leaner, not a good thing. Keep the favtory one and remove the screen at most!
Not gonna tell you which plugs, but one range to 2 ranges colder. If you ask my opinion, Iridium plugs- IT-20's. Needs lower voltage to fire and the small electrode wont blow out. Of course the normal S board will say NUTS, but the positive displacement users will say GETEM unless your NUTS!

Werd. I emailed Al regarding a wynjammer for an '04 s10 kit, but haven't heard a peep. I don't have air injection, but am seriously considering the wynjammer over a powerdyne or vortec.

Anyone have some input or experience on this?

Thanks.

I had a Powerdyne installed -- ran 7 psi for one year and 9 psi for two years. I removed the Powerdyne in favor of the Wynjammer, and I don't regret my decision. Don't get me wrong, the Powerdyne is a good kit, as is the Vortech, but I like the Wynjammer -- it has both beat for the sheer simplicity, clean install and SHORT install. Comparably speaking, the Wynjammer pulls as strong, if not stronger, than my Powerdyne. Another added advantage is that the Wynjammer includes an intake and a programmer -- so those are two more mods you can cross off your list.
