I have a bunch of L.E.D s that I have plans for. My question is what will I need to reduce a 12 volt system to a 2 volt system? I need specifics, part numbers, or where to go. Radioshack cant answer my questions (go figure).

I have a LED (Large Enormous ****)
You need a DC voltage reducer ,that maybe is adjustable since most are ,that will adjust a 12 volt DC input to 1.5-6 DC output or so. Cant tell ya the part numbers for such, but that what I'd be looking for or explaining to somebody that looked compentent!

I picked up some bad ass needles for my gauges, I have a multimeter now, but I have no clue how to read it!
I am wanting to put some tiny LEDs under the needles.

Go look at rliths write up about LED's on second gens.I just finshed up doing them for a buddy today using all blue LED's on his and the needles on his glow like they had a LED inside them. You can get LED's from Super Bright LED's for cheap and they are ready to install with resistors made in them. This is what they look like. For about 2.50 a piece you can't beat them. And they have 4 LED's in one that make them REALLY bright.Seriously man the install will be alot easier than what your trying to do with better results. Here is also a pic of rlith's guages.Look at what his needles look like.

yeah, digital doesnt have needles. but if you dont know how to meter, then it could be either.
my question is can you not read the outputs? or know how to meter them?

You are a little over a 3 hour drive from me bro lol.But seruiosly though it really isn't that hard at all.You have a 2nd gen so if you follow rlith's directions you can't go wrong.Only thing is you don't need ten of the #T1 bulbs for the idiot lights, just ten of the #75 LED's.I would use white on them anything else would look kinda weird. The LED's from Super Bright come with the resistors built in so it's almost a plug and play deal.If you think you might not be able to do it then get someone else to do it.But it really is a simple swap.If you have any questions me and rlith are both usually on here and we have both done them on a 2nd gen.

These also help for LED's and maybe you want to check them out! I kinda like to have one

I got my LED's in today for my mirror and floorboard. They look awesome.Im gonna take some pics of them tomorrow. When I turn on all of the interior lights it's a pure white color light that just makes the whole cab easily viewable in the dark.I ordered them on Friday night got them today. They also sent me the replacement 194 super white LED.And I didn't even have to send them the bad one.Great bunch of people to deal with.
