View Full Version : c10 front end conversion
I was thinkin today when I was cruisin that there have been trailblazer, envoy, studebaker, and the occasional escalade conversion done to an s10. But has anyone ever thought about converting the front end to a 67 or 68 c10 grille. I havent seen that yet but I think that it would look pretty good and very old skool if some one was good enough to fab one out. That devious customs place is doin a colorado conv. on a first gen so maybe Ill drop a line to them about a c10 conv. Idk just a thought.
sounds like a cool idea its always good to be different. and its fun to try new things. i've always liked the s10 blazers done to look like the old pannel trucks.
Id like to see one done. I wish I had a 96 or newer 4.3 vortech in good running condition but needed to be fixed up cuz I would try this out on it. In fact I had a 96 SS i was planning to buy for 2200 that needed a complete overhaul as far as interior/exterior but it was very low miles and was drivin from cali to missouri back and forth so almost all the miles on it were highway. Anyways I wish I woulda been able to pick that truck up and do this conv. Im to much of a coward to cut the front off my 99.

that would be one cool s-10 the front end of thoes trucks looks sweet. It would be a lot on body work though and rember that the s-10's are narrower than a full size
i thick an older conversion might look better on a first gen s10 just my opinion
Yeah. Well its just a thought. Idk Im kinda crossed on what it would look better on. I like the 2nd gens better and I personally think that it would look better on it. I think the conversions are the coolest thing and way better then any old body kit. They are so outta the norm. Plus ricers have pretty much ruined the idea that body kits are cool. Just my opinion though.
i hear ya with the body kit thing i origionly wanted one on my truck but now i think i would rather have the stock bumpers or nice chrome ones on my first gen. the new style look ok with a body kit but your still better off to lower it instead. a body kit or "ground effects" just make it look lower than it really is so its kinda the easy way out of lowering it.
yeah it would look good on a newer style now that i think about it. and conversion are the way to go to have a pretty cool custom truck. i just really like the first gen thats why i said it would look better on one.

I thought this looked sick as hell when i first saw it...conversions are alot nicer to look at than a big old plastic POS body kit

wow thats pretty sweet i like the head lights and stuff
I definately like the 1st gens. Well the 2 door blazers in a 2wd and a standard cab look the best in my eyes. I personally think the factory bumper looks so much better than a body kit wether it be a chrome bumper or a painted one the body kits should be left to the ricers and people that think they actually think they are cool... NOT ME! Conversions are amazing. I saw an f150 with a navigator conversion and it looked like the truck should have come like that.
