I have stock wheels, and what I do is when I wash the truck, I use a special wheel cleaning brush with the same soap and water used for cleaning the truck(sounds crude, but it works great)

eagle one a2z wheel cleaner. it has acid in it just like all other wheel cleaners. although i saw an advertisement for a wheel cleaner that michellin makes that claims to have no acid in it...

For polishing my aluminum rims, i use Mother's Billet Polish with a very fine polishing cloth
For just cleaning them..I just use soap and hot water, Im using turtle wax right now
I wipe them off everyday to keep the dust off and keep them looking like mirrors!!

I also like to (after polishing) put a good coat of Turtle Wax Ultra Gloss on them to protect them

For chrome, Windex works well for me, so does Mothers Chrome Polish

i use armor all..has oxalic acid in it which does a good job of moving break dust and road grime. just obey the directions and it'll work great...

I scrub the **** out of mine, then (I know its really bad) but I use some Eagle 1 tire shine on a rag then it makes em' shine right up. My rims are beat to hell anyway. When I get my new ones I am gonna use Mothers billet polish.

first off, if you have aluminum wheels dont use anything with acid!

I Have non coated aluminum wheels, and I washe them with laundry detergent and water. As for protection I use car wax and I occasioanly use rubbing compound.

the acid is cool...you just better follow instructions...spray where grime/brake dust is thick...let it soak for less than 1 minute...rinse off...but if you leave it on there...oh yeah...i'll start to look dull...

if its not polished aluminum, its ok to use some acid cleaners...but if you have polished wheels, NO ACID...especially costic acid, cause soon as you put it on the wheel, it streaks and you can not get the white streaks out...you have to sand it down and get the polisher out

I like Neverdull it works great on billet or chrome, but for a quick clean on chrome I used meguiers hot wheels.

well since my xtreme is a daily driver..... i have to take the wheels off every spring and scrub the nasty stuff out of the inside of the wheel (the part most people don't clean) then once i get that clean, i use dish detergent and a bug sponge *the ones with the net like thing on them* and scrub. or use the eagle one stuff, the wheel cleaner, works great. they have clear coat so it's ok. then once they are clean for the spring, i wash them like i wash the truck then i wax everything with paint on it, i mean EVERYTHING, no less than once a month, the wheels get wax every wash.
