My front tires are hard to turn when I jack the front up and they dont spin freely at all. Im getting 10mpg and trying to figure out the problem with that.

So the question to all the s10 4x4 people out there is, do your tires spin when you push them and keep spinning or is there alot of force to be pushed to get them to turn? In 2wd mode

I did jack up my torsion bars I wonder if thats why they dont spin freely.

My buddys jeep spins easily and keeps spinning.

Calipers might be seized up. If your getting poor fuel milage I would be looking at that. Getting a lot of brake dust on your rims? Have you tried to retract the brake caliper piston yet? Do you have uneven brake pad ware, between your inboard and outboard, and left and right brake pads?

Your wheels should spin freely in 2wd.

Because your CV axles are at such an angle now they are harder to rotate. If you put the truck in 2wd, you should be able to rotate the front drive shaft by hand, if not the front axle or the transfer case is not disengaging, you can take the shaft out and see which end doesn't spin freely, I believe the lights on the 4wd switch only show whats happening in the transfercase encoder and have no feedback from the front axle like the full size 4x4s do but Im not too sure, I haven't had any problems with the front axles. Jeeps have a completely different front axle so don't compare to them

How much of a lift do you have? Did you just tweek the t-bars a little for an inch or two? Exen still, this shouldnt have created such a problem.

I jacked the torsion bars up about 2 inches or a little more. But it still has some left crank. I didnt want to put them up to the limit.

I will check the brakes again, yet I know there not rubbing because ive looked before to see if I still have pads left.

Both tires are hard to turn. So its looking like I should turn the T-bars back down just to see if it is that problem.

Im deff disengaged out of 4wd. Thats not the problem.

10mpg is eating my wallet inside out from driving alot. Sometimes its less than 10mpg but the truck drives smooth and rolls so I dont see the big problem. I do have 31inch tires but they dont measure 31 they measure 29 off ground.

Buddys helped me do my intake gasket it was broken in peices. And missing a gallon of coolent every 3 days. Yet my oil was still clean. Couldnt belive it
