Hard starting when cold

Friends of mine have a "95" Jimmy, 4.3. It starts and runs fine when it's cold. If it's warmed up, shut off, it's hard to start and idles rough. By hard starting, it cranks a long time before it starts. The Jimmy is well maintained and has a recent tune-up. It also has 102,000 miles and other than tune-up pairts is all original. Any sugestion as to what would cause this?

First, welcome to the site. Second my friend had the same problem in his 01. We did trace down an melted harness and melted EGR tubing. Although I dont think it solved his problem, but it might be something to look at.
