I am working on trying to shave the step pad off of the stepside bed. This is the black plastic part on top that has "tread" on it so that you dont slip. I am talking about the part in FRONT of the rear wheels. if you have done this or have any pictures please post. I have seen many custom stepside that just paint it and leave it there, but I have only seen a couple that actually shave it smooth. I have not seen a step shaver kit for this part. If you have let me know. I have picked up a second set from the junk yard for cheap and am struggling with the bond. maybe i went the wrong route with bondo? idk, but that's why i bought a second set to f**k up on lol.

Ive seen no replacement pre-shaved ones. You have to do it yourself.
Used to be a few places making billet steps to go there.
I think there is a special 'bondo' made for urethene/plastics you will need to use

This is correct. there is a "Plastic Bumper Repair Kit" that you can buy. It has the proper material with it. The bondo will just crack and chip, if it holds at all.

That fusor won't, its some mean stuff, costly tho. I've seen it hold up to some stuff you would be surprised that was glued together.

Yeah sorry I should've been more clear....I meant his current setup with bondo and tape.

No offense man, but the thread is 8 months old, if he hasn't figured something out yet, he's not going to.
