i have been being told by my bro,dad,gpa,friends etc. that its stupid to fix up my truck, instead they want me to buy a new one. well the way i see it is, if i fix it up myself and bring it up to par with body work, etc. i will get more satisfaction then if i were to just sell it and put a down payment on another s10, which prolly has problems to.
what ya'll think?

I'm all for fixing up the old "within reason" (o;
Stick with the old truck... you'll get alot more satisfaction and learn a lot if you fix up the old truck. Besides, if the older truck runs pretty good, wouldn't it be more cost efficient to keep it rather than pay payments on a new one?

Id keep it and fix it, I had a 92 S10, Bought it, everyone told me it was a waste of money blah blah blah blah, Spent 2 weeks in the garage with my dad replacing the whole front suspension, Everything in the front end was replaced, Spent another week painting it, another week cleanin the motor, and one more week re doing the interrior, Yeah it cost money, but i was more than satisfied and it ended up being one of the most bad ass trucks in the school parking lot, I learned alot from fixin and repairing that truck, but man let me tell you the satisfaction from fixing it and all the compliments i got on it from all the trash talkers made me feel pretty good, I miss that truck. Id keep yours and keep on fixin

you mean a head gasket?
i think it was the intake gasket
but after re reading some posts ild go somewere in the joining of the head to the block
weather its the gasket or the head defective or the block defective
cause theres an oil issue too
