Years ago when I got my truck, I didn't like the abs-found it annoying actually. I pulled the fuse and that worked but set the abs light on. Also the cruise control stopped working too. recently, I put the fuse back in the truck but light is still on and CC dosn't work. Are those two systems related? (CC & ABS) Anybody know what scanners will read and erase abs codes?
thanks.

It does interface with the braking system...although I can only draw from my experiences. For example ANY shorts in your braking system harness, ABS sensors, or trailer lighting...aka cool LED brake light strips connected to your 4pin connector, basically anything in the braking circuit...causes the CC to fail to engage, automatic headlight sensors to go haywire, and your turn signals to go nuts...hell, even the dang overhead counsel would dim with the turn-signals cycling and the high-beam switch on-off...LOL!

In my case...it was an LED taillight bar on the bumper that got water in it and threw a voltage drop or a surge into the PCM/BCM...and crap went nuts. I un-plugged the turd...and everything was back to normal:D

Your case may be a faulty ABS sensor...and I would probably guess it's the transducer for the ass-end. Our trucks are only 3ch systems...meaning a channel for each front wheel and one for the rear axle. The ABS module will add it's own algorithm to offset the front brakes apply and release diagonally (ex...driver front and pass rear) from each other;) But having the rear sensor faulty would definitely skew shaft speed to the CC and ABS module...but may not affect your speedo reading. Kind fuzzy myself on how that stuff all talks to each other...but learning though:D

Good Luck!

thanks for your response. I am now sure that is why my CC isn't working. the problem with my abs light is because I pulled the fuse. when I put it back it didn't reset the abs code appearently.
