I've never found myself needing a 4X4....
btw, if the body is in good shape and the truck runs good, that is an excellent price for only 70k Mi.
That's kinda a lot for a 1st gen, even with the mileage. A friend of mine bought a '00 blazer 4x4 for around $3k not long ago.
Its prob 2wd if they didnt mention 4x4, because 4x4 is usually a selling point for trucks.
If you're looking for a 4x4 my friend has a 92' (not sure of exact year) reg cab, s10 4x4
4.3tbi, automatic. Its 190k miles but he wants a little over $1000 instead of $3k, lol.
He lives near albrightsville (near pocono raceway)... I believe its over 100 miles from Harrisburg. If your interested let me know and I can get you his contact info.

I couldn't bring myself to give that kind of money for a 92 S10 "unless it had a BUILT v8. then still probably not. You're still gonna have S-10 issues, they are S10's and all have them. I STILL think you'd be farther ahead to get a different engine in the one you already have. You already KNOW what's wrong with the one you have, no telling what is buried under another truck... Remember, just because it looks nice, does not mean that it neccesarily is.
If you are looking into something that will have you ending up with payments, better just go for new, because you'll really be pizzed when you have a payment due AND the truck needs work. I guaruntee you, for MUCH less than 3K, you could have the truck you have as nice and reliable as any out there.

I speak from experience. We bought the 2002 Caravan with 36,000 on it. one week in it needed a new solenoid pack on the transaxle. $350 and NOT covered by the p.o.s. dealer warranty. It's been pretty well behaved since then "knock on wood", but still $233 every month... I'd rather throw parts at my Blazer and Escort than have payments.I had my Blazer for about a year before it was even drivable.

i think they are asking too much. i just bought my s-10 this past week, for $1500.
1992 s-10, tahoe trim, blackout appearance package, 2.8L V6, 5 spd, 80k miles, topper, drives great with no problems, no rust, stock, lots of new parts...alternator, battery, hoses, exhaust, theres more but i can't remember. i bought it from a private seller, but a dealer was selling the same truck, same year w/ 85k miles, for $2500.

I dont see how thats too good to be true... thats actually a little high, Ive seen 2000s 4x4s for that much, over a year ago.
Hell, Ive seen a 1999 locally for $1200 that didnt run.... needed a battery, had ign prob and some little stuff.
Dont go by kelly blue book pricing they are ridiculous. Try appraising on edmunds.com for a more realistic idea of what stuff should go for.
Dont rush into anything, s10s and blazers aren't uncommon.

I payed 1k for my 98 2dr 2wd Jimmy about a year ago. Pwr windows, cd player, Ac works kinda, I think it needs a pressure switch. Nothing big. The trans line was busted and spraying fluid all over the place and the guy though it had a bad trans. I fixed the leak, put some side mirrors on it, fixed the driverside widow motor and gave it a tune up and it was good. Of course the trans did end up failing on me a few months later but a $500 used trans out of a 02 with 56k on it fixed that.
I say just keep the head ache you got, why by another just to have a different head ache? That or just take your 3K and put it down on something with a warranty and make payments. That way your vehicle owns you instead of you owning it.

http://lancaster.craigslist.org/cto/1632251192.html Im going to go up to PA and look at this myself. Im considering it anyways, I know you want a SFA, but this is a good deal on a 4x4 2Gen,
"The only problem is the the seal on the trans fluid pump went out its a 10 dollar part but a days work to fix "
Thats not too bad of a fix, and its about 10 dollars.
"but im selling it for 2000 Price very negotiable hit me up with your offer" you could easily get this for $1500! Take your grand dads other 1500, get your registration, inspection, emissions, inspection, etc. and get a full service done on it. Use the rest to fix any small issues you encounter. Then you got money for a stereo system!

i sure hope so, i like the way 2door blazers look better, but w/e at least i wont be a traitor lol
Yeah we cant have that now. lol. The only reason im not big on the 2doors is bc i like to be able to have people get in the back without goin through the front door, more of a PITA with 2 door lol. But tahts just my opinion. Its alot easier to pick up some chicks, toss em in the back, then when they piss u off, open up the back door, and kick. lmao.

yea hahaha, the only reason i would be iffy on the 95 4door is because my dads looked exactly like that except more body damage and the head gasket blew and coolant and oil mixed in the motor, haha 4.3 couldnt even chirp the tires lol

well i called my gpa about the 95 with 170k and he said the miles concern him
What about that 96 you posted? Only had 120K. 170K can go either way - if it has been well maintained, it shouldn't be a big deal, but if not...

in the first one, how is he flexin the rear? haha im sorry i never took notice to the flex in teh rears of vehicles before is that a axle swap of some sort?
I think he may have done a spring flip... re-located the springs to the top of the axle.

that last blazer looks good with the new style zq8's. I didn't think they would fit a 4X4.

thats cool, haha i already have thoughts running through my head on what to do, possibly trade my xtreme wheels and tires for some krager soft 8s with 30s or 31s on em and with some cash on my part haha
