to cowl, or not to cowl?

I have a chance to get this 2.5" steel cowl hood for a very good price but can't make up my mind on whether to stick with stock.

It looks like the one DMP has and his truck looks sweet but I'm still on the fence. It'll cost about $150 more than a new stock hood and I have a friend who can paint it for a decent price. If you don't know, this is the heap it'll be going on - the current hood has a bunch of dents in the front which don't show up well in pics

I could really go either way so make up my mind for me! He's only got 3 hoods left at $220 a pop so I need to decide soon!

Seriously I like the GMC hood- though the cowl hood would prob. look nice. I kinda like the GMC hood-it looks like a cowl hood upside down.

I'm really partial to the GMC hood also. If I were to get an aftermarket hood for my Jimmy the only one I would get is the Cervini's Ram Air Hood.

I really like the ram-air style over the cowl, but for the price, it's hard to beat it.

For what I paid I figure I can resell it at no loss if I do decide I don't like it. Now I just have to get that guy on syty.net to hurry up and pay me for that cameo body kit!
