I am currently looking up some things on my stepdad. I need to find as much public info on him as I can. I keep hearing bad things about him. Since my daughter lives w/ him and my mom I have concerns. I need to see if he has been in the military and if he has any record of felonys. I know this is a truck forum but I am only asking if you want to do this. I am not asking for anything illegal. I am currently looking myself. His name is Ronald Eugene Mickelson and he is 40-42 yrs old. He says he was Army Special forces. When I confronted him on this he says his ex-wife burned all of his records. I will need all this info in the future when I go to fight for my daughter. (its a really long story).

Thanks guys.

I'll poke around this weekend when bored. I love this stuff, I spent over 2 years searching my family history!

Military records should be easier for you to just get basic info. Use contacts you have and they should be able to give you that fact he was or wasnt. Or even try local Veterans outreaches and or VFW's!

I tried to find his records through the mil. but they were like no (privacy act of 1969 or something).

Try to get a copy of his DD214.... atleast it will tell you why he was seperated... if he actually was in the Military

Nope I asked for his DD214 a long time ago (he said his ex distroyed it). My stepdad is a asshole. He told me he was special ops and went on all kinds of secret missions, I just think he is a dumbass. I want accual proof, not what someone says.

You can get the dd214 online.... you just print out a form and mail it in with a signature... then they will mail a complete copy back to you.. I had to get a copy of mine b/c i lost the one i got when i was discharged
