Everything you just mentioned is all electrical. Have you thought about a possible fuel and/or vacuum issue

checked fuel pump and made sure it was pumping enough to the engin checked the sock changed fuel filter back in dec. vacume lines are all hooked up my spark pulgs are not firing is the issue and thats why i think it might be short because all else seems fine

93 blazer, hmmm.

You sure everything plugged in under the hood. Shorts normally blow fuses and you didn't mention you had that problem.

If you have a short you will. 1 have a blown fuse. 2 have a burnt wire.
3 have a bad electric part. Witch in return will blow a fuse or burn up the wires.
All in all that is a short.

Mine done something like that and it was the distributor, the pick up in it went bad.

what is the actuall distributer?
The distributor is that thing that the cap and rotor bolts on to. It's under the two, located on the back of the intake manifold. You replaced the cap and rotor and those are two of the components that work with the distributor to provide spark to the plugs to fire the engine when you turn the key. Go to wikipedia.org and type in distributor, or type it in the search function, and it should come up. Late.

when you set the timing did you unplug the wire under the dash?

mariposa_43

set timmin by ear it does not have a timing light. my dad has been working on car for about 30 years so he knows it is close but he is not sure where the wire is under the dash, he was trying a timing screw on top motor but it is seal shut?

The wire should be a tan with black tracer under the heater box near the kick panel on right. Unplug to set base timing.
