electric controlled? So I"m guessing you have a TBI motor? If so it's real easy to install. Just unbolt the egr off the intake manifold put a egr gasket on each side of the restrictor plate and bolt it back on. THe hardest part is weaseling the plate and gaskets around without them all falling apart. Some gasket sealer will help all three stick together.

What restricter plate are you talking about? Do I have to fabricate one? If so, what size do I need to drill the plate out? Does this mod really help?

yes, you will need to make one. piece of like 8 gauge steel will work. basically buy 2 egr gaskets from the auto store, trace one onto the steel and cut it out, i dont remember the hole sizes. the jedi master should be able to give you the sizes to drill the holes to. i cut mine on a bandsaw and then ground the sides down to the lines. you will notice some more pickup in the higher rpms, mainly cuts out some throttle lag.

You can start with 1/8" holes. If you get the old SES light you can enlarge them 1/8" at a time till you satisfy the ECM. You can also enlarge one side a little larger. This helps satisfy the Ecm put reduces some of the gains you might get.

Do I need to start by drilling two 1/8 holes for both top and bottom valve?
