Hey guys so I need some technical info from ya. My 1996 s10 2.2L has ran like dirt for awhile now. I have changed plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter, coolant temp sensor, cleaned IAC. Everything I did helped some but still very badly needs help. I have a scanner and watching the load value and map sensor it is giving me a load value of 70 at idle  this doesnt seem right to me. It also registers around 26-27 inhg from the map at idle. Can anyone tell me if this is even close to being right? Seems way off to me and I will also get a code after awhile of system too rich.

Anybody??? I have alot of tuning and full logging/diagnostic software for my Mitsu Lancer and my car idles at around 20-30 load so I know this cant be right but just dont know why its saying 60-70 load. I have idled the truck and pulled various vaccuum hoses off the intake mani while watching the load value on my scanner and whenever the engine would rev up some the load would actually drop to around 55 or so wierd.

Hmmm... Your vacuum does sound a little high... but given the cam-design of that year engine, it seems concurrent. How many miles are on the truck at this point? Has the EGOS been changed at all? It might be due & you're overlooking it in search of something larger. Also: Since this is a '96, has the catalytic-converter ever been replaced? I ask because it's a OBD-II year & that means two (Count 'em!) EGOS. One before the cat (On the manifold) and one after. If the code reads it's the latter, guess what!? Besides... The cat is supposed to be replaced after 100,000mi, anyway.
