That's a early Lightning -- before the body style switch and before they started supercharging them. HO 302 -- same as the Mustang GTs of the same time period. But, that is FAR from stock. . . Damn! Nice run, nice truck!

nah...a 572 would do me better. i remember seeing one of those trucks not too long ago...painted purple...with lightening bolts across the tailgate...sounded nice...real nice...

Jegs trucks are pro-stockers. For sale also since NHRA (N.o H.elping R.acers A.llowed) abruptly canned the class few years back. Some of 'em still run in Comp. Low to mid 8's is where I see 'em run.

Yeah the 93-95 Lightnings,Fords awnser to the 454 SS.They were powered by a decent 351 Windsor that was rated at 240 hp and 340 lb-ft.They were actually for the day some decent performing trucks.But a far cry from the next Lightnings to come out.

The early Lightnings came with a 351W, 4:10 gears, aluminum driveshaft and GT-40 intake. I'm not for sure but they might have had GT-40 heads too. They were rumored to come close to the corvette on the skid pad.
