as to why you never run an amp with out it being held down by at least 2 screws...
in my blazer i had the drivers side interior taken off and let my amp be, wasnt worryed about shorts. but my rca cable broke off inside the rca plugs :( luckly using my ubar-leet rca removable tool http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d85/rensworkspace/100_0768.jpg :D i was able to get it out :) now time to get it in the baja

ahh say it, i wont hold it ageist ya :) it WAS stupid of me to leave the amp loose. im jsut glad that i use use bare fork connectors for power, ground and remote that i heat shrink up to the forks. there wasnt any real big risk of shorting.
in the baja i had to think about it for a bit as i really dont want any non needed holes in the cab for my amp, fire extinguisher and first aid kit. ended up taking hte carpet off the back wall and cutting a chunk of plywood to fit between the back wall of the cab and the carpet(with some cleavery placed screws in factory screw holes) this way ive got a solid mounting place and if i remove/change anything the carpet will help hind the old mounting holes :)
