Need some help...
I think I know a few places to turn to for Bushings.
What is your preferance? What is meant to be abused?

I am led to believe that the polyurethane is the best (and most available now)

Heres my mission... (Mission impossible tune inserted here)
Replace the sway bar bushings and end links. What size? 33mm?
Replace the Control arm Bushings (they look dry rotted)
Eventually replacing the rear leaf springs
----------

What am I getting into, aside from needing an A$$load of Penetrating fluid... what else might come in handy?
ex. grease? what kind?... etc.

I plan on finding a local place for the leafs...
Will I be able to remove the Control arms without having to take much apart? The least amount to take apart, the better.

I plan on buying all this ahead of time on top of another project.
Once I get it all together, it will be play time, as long as the weather is nice.

Other Mission... Intake mainfold gaskets, as some may have heard.
This cannot be done at my house
Father doesnt want any antifreeze or other fluids getting on the driveway and possibly having the dog lick up any amount. I will have to ask some people to use their garage.

Poly is good for the swaybar and endlinks. That's a pretty easy job if everything isn't rusted solid.

Go with the stock rubber for the control arm and leaf bushings. It's not the right kind of application for poly and they'll wear out quickly and squeek like mad. I've never heard of anyone being satisfied with poly control arm bushings!

Getting the control arms out is tedious but not difficult. The nuts stay tight until the very last thread and you can't get much of a turn on them so you'll get a work out!

Thanks...
So poly for the sway (I also might do the easy disconnect while Im at it)
and stock rubber for the control arms.

I shouldnt have to take anything else apart correct? just the control arms? maybe the shocks?

Sway bar bushings purchased from Synergy offroad... includes end links
cheaper than a few places online by about $10... Im already happy.
Now I gotta find some control arm bushing that are not Polyurethane...
I'll probably just hit up the local parts store

I only had to take my air intake off to get at the 2 nuts on the driver's side, shocks were fine where they were. I used a ratcheting wrench and another big wrench wedged into the end of it for leverage - the nuts are really on there! It may be different on a 4x4 though, I'm not sure.

check Chilton for the exact procedure - the new password is in the OP's sig

The bolts have splines/teeth on them so when the nuts are off they're still tough to knock out but I basically just jammed the control arm back and forth and that freed them up.
