Some of you know I have a motor I am trying to build.... well I have concluded that this is going to be a money pit... Hell what isnt but I dont have the time nor the money right now for it. To make this short and sweet.....

Mike those roller rockers you sold me...they are 1.52's I have the 3/8 studs already with that motor I bought. I already have the valve covers and titanium push rods. I will get some more springs probally beehives, what would be a good cam to run with my wynjammer and that topend set up?

I am selling my block and heads for a price I have yet to determine, either way, I will list this later for it goes up on here to you guys first and any reasonable offers will be considered....

Thanks for the help :D

Lol sorry, Im going to sell my block along with everything bottom end, Probally the heads and cam also. The motor should be complete with everything except the rolller rockers.

I was asking you what would be a good set up for the 1.52's that you sold me to run with my wynjammer. I will put this set up in my truck, I have read that certain setups will hit the valve covers but I have the larger covers so im good on that.

I know nothing about cams, nothing from what I read about your post on it and I cannot seem to make heads or tails of it. I just know what the cam does, I cant tell you what the difference would be between a 266 or a 270. so to speak

If you were to get an "off the shelf" cam for a boosted 4.3 I think grind# C6 270AH-R14 would be best. IMO it would be better to call up Comp Cams and ask them about a custom grind for you.

So with a custom grind it is basically setup up to be specifically for the motor setup im running. Also with a computer tune, pcmforless I believe, that will be set up motor specific also?

The tune will have to be set up for the cam. You can get a cam custom ground for your computer controlled S/Ced 4.3. You'll have to talk to comp cams or someone else around here for more details. That's about all I know on the subject.

I agree with Scotty.
The issues with the lift I think only is for 280 cams. The 260 and 270 grinds IIRC dont have clearance issues. But maybe a 270 with 1.6 rockers. With the 1.52's you should be safe on either one.

I don't know what kind of head work you have had done, but keep in mind that stock vortec heads will only accept about .480 total lift.

X2, just use some ls1 springs and you won't need to do anything to the heads. You should be able to find ls1 springs cheap on ebay.
