You will have to use the grill off of the 87 aswell. The lights on the 87 core support are mounted about and inch higher than on the 93. I had this problem when I had a 1st gen and the headlights did not line up. I wanted to use a 92 grill so I just had to deal with it. It will all fit, but the lights will not line up with a 91-93 grill, there will be about an inch gap between the bottom of the light and the grill light opening.
To use the newer grill with the older core support, you would have to use some headlight relocators. You can find them on ebay, search "headlight case".
