hey guys i have a older home receiver that is rated for about 140 watts it says. and i blew my free amp and was wondering if there is any hazards of hooking up the receiver in my truck with a 400 watt inverter wired directly to the battery. ive already tried it out and it pushes one pioneer 10 very good

tell me what you think

uh, its your truck.
I think you would have problems with the home reciever not taking the vibration of driving very well.

Most Home Recivers channels' are rated to a higher inpedence than car speakers. And u will eventually kill it too

yeah i dont really expect it to last forever but its a old receiver. i got it hooked up just like you would a amp. inputs into the back of the receiver from head unit. it hits hard though. just a temp solution till i can get a new amp. just making sure i wouldnt catch my truck on fire or ruin my sub.

oh well, sometimes you have to do what you can to get by. damn money is always a problem, and that usually doesn't get any better the older you get.
