:D
How low is your drop and what elements did you use to get your stance?
*Factory zq8 which is 2" lower then a regular s-10 height
(front- 1.5" lowering coils, rear- 1.5" lowering leafs, and lower profile tires 55 series)
*Aftermarket
front-BellTech 2" lowering spindles, rear- BellTech 3" lowering blocks
Total: 4/5 drop
Going to measure my fender height and clearance height once I get my new rims and 45 series tires on Saturday.

to be honest...since I have a Blazer I went the other way
PST Polygraphite bushing kit
Dual Tube High Density Gas shocks
oversized tires (p235-75-r15's)
only raised about 1 inch..but looks better than the other Blazers I see(maybe I'm just a little biased lol)
0.5 rear/ stock front. 1/2" angle block to correct factory pinion angle. koni shocks, helwig front/rear sway bars, eaton leafs, eibauch coils and absolutly no time to do anything. It comes out to a 3" drop if i every find a set of spindels .I'm currently looking for better spindels than belltech or dmj offer. I may possibly convert to a coilover mustange II front end.
as for the project truck....This is what i have so far
Zed front frame clip, 2" lower control arms, 2" spindels, qa1 variable rate coils.. total 6" front..(yes the frame will hit speed bumps, but i working on that) zed rear clip coil over qa1 shocks, ladder bars, 9" rear that i may have narrowed, but i haven't decided if I want a strait tract or autocross truck yet... it should be about 7" or 8" lower than stock.
I'm not building to be a lowrider though. I'm building an all around performance truck .

Any pics on the chassis set-up on the project truck "bvr775"? I'm interested in seeing it.

I have what would be a bit more than 2/3 drop
front:
2in Belltech spindles
stock coil and shocks for now
rear: 3in Belltech blocks and Nitroactive Shocks
plus I have 245/45/17s all the way around which added a little less than an inch since the tire diameter is shorter than the stock 205/75/15
the truck should be lower in the near future, I have all winter to play around

Keep em comin' guys.
it's just a pyle of parts right now and I would rather hold off on putting it up for public display till i at least have the welds finished and the frame powder-coated. It'll be awhile before I really get into finishing work though.
3/4
DJM 2" spindles & 1" coils coil spring spacer to correct lean in front=3"
3" leafs & 1" block,pinion shims=4"
the ride is pretty rough tho and i think it is because i used Toxic shocks?is that the reason for the choppy ride?
ive got a 4/5 drop on my 01 blazer
the stock zq8 plus belltech drop spindels and some 3" blocks in the rear then i have the nitro shocks all around.. im going to be putting on some 2" drop springs to replace the factory ones and also go with some belltech 3" drop leafs in the rear to replace the factory ones as well..

i was thinking about doing a 4" drop in the rear using angled blocks, now if i did this would i need to get new shocks? frame notch? cut bumpstops?
xacy0303
08-20-08, 07:00 PM
^^^new shocks, and cut the bumpstops out. Or, new shocks and c-notch for NO bottoming out. Righ now my truck has been lowered 3/3 VERY cheaply by the previuos idiot owner. He threw in some 3in. blocks in the rear and heated the front coils with a torch, the coils are distorted really bad DO NOT DO THIS! My ride quality is f-ing horrible. I will swapping all that out for 2in spindles, 3in coils, 3in leafs, and 3in blocks totalling 5/6. Oh and some new drop shocks.

well what i think im gonna do is get a personal loan and bag this puppy like Mitch did, cuz i want this thing on the ground after going to Indy Truck Bash and seeing all the minitrucks all layed out, it was beautiful

sweet, i wanted to bagg mine but I just couldnt bring my self to chop it up. So, I got a hardbody nissan x-cab sittin out back with bad motor and trans that the previuos owner air bagged already. His loss, idiot thought suspension was more important than what actually moved the truck so I got all his hard work for like $800 bucks, thanks idiot.

haha nice man, what i was gonna do was lower the whole truck like an inch or two cuz i kno i could do that for really cheap, but i looked at my fender wells and i only have maybe like 2-3 inches until it rubs the tire, so i was like ahhh hell ill see if i can get a personal loan so i can bag this thing, i had the idea for a lil while but never gotten around to it, and today i went to the bank and talked to them about it and they said i was approved, but apparently i dont have enough credit (which is bull****) so i have to have another co-signer...the loan im taking out is going to be $3000
2 inch spindles in front,
3 inch blocks on back.
1 1/2 between tires and fender all the way around....lol

When i lowered my truck i got alot lower than i wanted to go. I used to belltech 2" spindles and 3" blocks. I also replaced the tires. They are 225/50/15 using the factory swirl wheels.
I think in all i have a 4/5 drop
It looks good i just wish i had gotten a little bigger of a tire in the back at least to fill the wheel wells.
I also bought the carrier bearing support flat replacement due to having the extend cab. Well its still sitting under the bed....... I got over to my buddies house all ready to put it on thinking all i needed to do was unbolt the factory one WRONG!!!! The factory uses what i think to be rivets and to get the factory piece out they would need to be ground off and pulled out! I was pretty mad. cause with the new level of drop i scrape all sorts of speed bumps.

3 inch blocks with angled shim kit in the rear, 1-3 inch torsion keys in the front. It's level, but I think I want to bring the front down a little more. I'm not sure how much further I can go without destroying the half-shafts though.
