they would look a helluva lot better than the stock 14's. I say go for it, they will look good. and they will bolt on without any problems, you may get a little rub at full lock with wider tires (245's and up)
yeah idk if youve seen my truck before. i like the blacked out look of the stocks but oh well. hes asking 400 for all four and they have tires with less than 2000 miles on em. good deal?

thinking about polishing them how hard would that be

Just a lot of elbow grease. Mikz86TA did a nice write up on polishing/ reconditioning rims.
yeah i read that thread. lots of work i see haha. i guess ill just leave as is for now because my tires are fried now. so you guys think 400 is a good deal. includes gmc center caps and 95% tread uniroyal

Once the clear is stripped u could polish them. But it looks better and easier to get the polish off without the machined grooves
sorry for the delay ive been real busy lately. got the wheels and put em on i think they look really good. also got a tach today. opinions welcome :D

Those wheels look good on there. You just need a 2-3 drop now...
and I used to have that same tach on my '89.
i was gonna go for a 3-4 but idk about the ride and would i need shocks when i lower it

If you do blocks on the rear (can be had in 1,2,or 3 at autozone for 30.00) you do not need new shocks and it will not affect the ride ---for the rear anyway
If you do 2" drop spindles in the front, you will not lose ride quality either and you can use your same shocks. If you do lowering spings, your ride will be a little stiffer and you will need new shocks. ---The stiffer ride would also make the truck feel more in control though, so thats not a bad thing exactly.
However, if you do lower it either way, why not get better shocks and make it handle even better?

Looks good now drop that thing at LEAST a 3/4. You won't regret it makes for a totally different truck.

I have a set of those older style zq8 wheels on my 03 and had them professionally painted black and a clear coat and they look great on my truck!
They look good on your truck! Good deal!@
yeah im getting a job asap so any money i have is going to a lowering kit. so drop shocks is what i need or just new nicer shocks. and what would be the price difference in just getting coils and shocks or would it be cheaper and better if i used spindles and existing shocks
The ride will be better if you go with spindles. Going with a drop spring will cause a loss of suspension travel. Are the existing shocks in good shape? If you're wanting a 3" drop in front, I would go with spindles and 1" drop coils.

2" spindle+ 1" drop coil (or ZQ8 coils) up front and some ZQ8 leaf springs and a 2-3" blocks would ride just fine and look really good IMO. You really wouldn't need drop shocks this way either.
i have some steelies off the truck. 5% tread tires:cool: but rims are fine. i live in NC. ill let em go real cheap or for a set of 3in blocks:D
