i have recently gotten into my possession some blazer spindles and brakes. my question is i want to paint the calipers and mounting brackets. what would be a good way to cleapn them for paint? i figured some wheel cleaner and a brush to get most of it off and then rough it up with some sandpaper and then a final cleaning with paint thinner. sound like a plan?
thanx!!!

i did mine, last weekend. I used one of the duplicolor kits from schucks, it turned out pretty good but it had to dry for 24 hours before use so that was a pain....... but it looks pretty good, i still have to do the rears

wheel cleaner and a good hard scrubbing followed up by sandpaper...

cascade works better tyhan degreaser. I've got a modified diswasher in the back yard I use for washing parts. I can fit a small block in it.
cleaning tip: If you use cascade to clean you engine it dosen't leave and does a jam up job of removeing grease . i use boiling water to disolve the cascade.
here's a great produt

VHT is great! I have aftermarket calipers that are colored but I'm keep the rear drums and used VHT to paint them.
