So as some of you know I was filling in between the adaptor to the deck I have and the dash bezel. It is hard to explain, so here are some pics, unfortunately, I dont have any before pics on my comp, but your first gen owners will be able to recognize the difference.
Here is an in progress pic, the quality sucks, sorry. It should give you some idea what It went from though

Finished with Krylon Semi-Flat. The last pic sorta showes the new color I painted everthing. The second showes the new and the old color. The old is ont the left and the new color is the ashtray color, hows that for a midnight rattle can walmart color match

Thats what I had too. Send your stuff, and for the cost of parts, then shipping back ill do it for you, unfinished. Seriously

You cant steal my Idea, but you sure as hell can use it as inspiration. It was fun and really easyto do.

Its just bondo. I put some marglass onthe back for some strength, but nope, thats all bondo. I figure I have probably 30 hours of shaping and sanding, and im not happy. I wish I would have spent more time getting the angle onthe left of the cigarette lighter the same as the angle on the right, but ohwell

Did you remove or modifiy your vent to make the deck fit in so deep? I know there is No way my Alpine 9815 would go in that deep.

the alpine isnt that deep, what I did was fill bondo around the spacer. look at it closely, the depth around the lighter is what the original depth of the entire piece is. I merely filled bondo in between the spacer and the bezel. Look at yours, maybe post a pic. (cant find any before pics of mine) and then look at mine, you will see it.
