the blazer is making a terrible noise out of the front end I believe it is coming from the front right. Almost sounds like a growl from underneath the engine. So I jacked it up and spun the right wheel when I spin it forward it makes a clicking sound that is coming from either the differential or where the axle goes into the differential can't pin point it for sure. If I spin the wheel in reverse there is no noise and the front drive shaft spins with the wheel. But when I spin it forward the drive shaft doesn't spin at all just the clicking noise. Looking for ideas as to what I need to replace or what could possibly be wrong so I know what to look for when I tear into it. Its a 98 4x4 Blazer with part time only 4 wheel drive if that helps any. Thanks in advance.

so, I've been dealing with the same kind of problem for a year or so. Ever since I installed the roughcountry 2". I have had RCV performance products in Loves park Ill. fab me up new cv assemblies for $495/side. The new cv's will give me 40 degrees of articulation and solve the cv angle problem. You can also check out 4x4 posi-lock. They claim the passenger side cv problem is caused by the front diff not fully disengaging and their system ensures the front diff engages and disengages.

good luck
