So, I have everything on except an exhaust so far... I tried towing a camper that only weighs in at about 3000lbs, the trucks suspension and brakes, along with the brake controller and 7 pin all handled everything. Could barely tell it was back there... till you had to accelerate... and even worse when already moving and trying to accelerate, like from 35 - 55.

Is this typical?

If so, I think the next move is making a custom Y pipe... I have a set of JBA Headers purchased (not yet on), and they seem to come out to just under a 2 inch collector (info here on the headers (http://www.jbaheaders.com/detail_shortyV.asp?id=1840S-3JS)). I was thinking of making possibly a 2 inch Y pipe (or should I go with like 1.75 inch?), into a 2.5inch single exhaust. I have a high flow cat that is slip fit (which I want to make almost everything y pipe back for easy replacement), and than was going to go with a flow master 2.5 in, 2.5 out, and have a professional make the y pipe, and the tailpipe with straight pipes connecting the y pipe to cat (for stock-ish location) and cat to muffler (stock-ish again).

I know some people on here have made y pipes in the past, does that sound like the homework I did is being put together properly? Or am I going to be choking the engine or not even noticing a gain after all of that?

P.S. - All pictures will be taken after the S-10 is done all of it's mods, the camera I have sucks and when it is done, I was going to borrow one from work =)
