being your truck is older i'd replace the leafs, i know they do crack sometimes and who knows what you will find when you un-bundle (is that a word?) them

true i'm gonna at least check them out if they look alright i might try it. the worst thats gonna happen is i have to buy new ones and then i'll just buy the drop ones.
and you should use thye spell check maybe that would help you out.

I would just swap out the leafs because if you take out some of the original leafs you might have your leaf springs give completely because each leaf has to take more of the weight of your blazer.

Blazen, if your leafs look ok...then go ahead and pull out the 2nd longest. should give you about 2-2.5 there. how many leafs are in your pack? 4? I would take the 2nd longest out and see where it sits...the 2nd longest will give you the most drop. you might want to look into replacing your shocks in the rear not to long after you do this.

i wouldn't recommend pulling some leafs because that will dramatically change your spring rate. your truck will bounce all over the place. but if you really want too all you do is take the u-bolts off, then clamp the springs together, then take that nut that holds them all together(in the middle of the springs) and pull whichever one you want then put it together.
mr bowtie i like the way you think. i need to get new tires first because mine are to big there almost hittin the wheel wells now and my truck is sky high. plus i need some lowering blocks i only got 2" blocks and i need like 3-4" angled blocks. plus a friend of mine is makeing me a kit that will lower the front of mine anywhere from 2-8 inches (its adjustable) i showed you the pic of the front of his the one that is like 1 inch off the ground.
and as for the shocks i have air shocks in the back right now which i wanna keep so i might try and add (have 4 shocks out back)a set of belltech drop shocks back there and up front.

that will be awesome man. damn...8 inch drop up front! if you got the air shocks, you should play around with a mono leaf (or bi-leaf leaving in the overload) and throw a big block in there, it will sit the axle on the frame and you can bring it back up a little when you wanna cruize. or you can do a small notch and get damn close to layin!
damn that will been sic having a 4x4 blazer that low with a static man...i like!!
yeah my friend basically has the same set up (accept he's doin bags on his 4x4 blazer now) he sits the axle on the frame and you saw the pic of the front. i might do a notch if not now than in the future. he also got me a new set of upper control arms so i'll have less camber. so hopefully as soon as i get alittle money for new tires i'm gonna be sittin low. and it will be just in time for show season
never remove leafs from a spring pack I don't care how new they are. Your going to have a bad problem with bottoming out the truck. Ever crushed and axel tube? I have. It cost me 700 to fix it. I wish I had just spent the 75bux on a lowed set of of leafs.
