My heater cause my stereo to overheat. It caused my new LEDs to heat up then shut off. My whole dash gets really hot. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?
Oh it even does it w/ the haeater shut off.
I was thinking of plugging the 2 middle vents and putting little e-fans above the stereo.

my stereo gets real hot to but its cause i cut a hole in the heating duct right behind the stereo. thats really weird though make sure the ducting is connected very where its supposed to be cause it could just be blowing hot air under the dash instead of it all coming out the vents. other than that i would say use the a/c more often j/k

I checked it all, I dont have any leaks, I have had foil tape in there for a while and it did reduce it a little.

take a computer fan and run some wires and get a switch. then hook the switch up where ever you want it. or just wire it so that the fan turns on soon as the truck cranks. as for mounting the fan i would mount it right on top of the cd player and letting the fan blow down on it

wrap some pipe insulation around the back area.

I took a steel plate and screwed it to where the vents join up, I plan on getting the fans this week, from Radioshack.
